Peer review process

SHILAP Revista de lepidopterología will acknowledge receipt of the originals sent by the authors.

After this preliminary analysis, all articles will be reviewed by the Editor and submitted to an external review process according to the "peer" and "double-blind" system in which at least two reviewers from outside the journal will participate, and a third reviewer will be called in if necessary. The reviewers will be researchers of recognised prestige who are specialists in the field. The anonymity of both the author and the reviewers will be maintained; however, the lists of external reviewers who have collaborated with the journal in previous years will be published periodically, with their personal authorisation.

On the basis of their report, the Editor represents the opinion of the Editorial Board and will inform the authors of his or her decision as to whether or not to accept their papers.

Accepted papers are published as quickly as possible, normally within 12 months of receipt.

Each published article will indicate the dates of receipt, approval and publication.

The Referees of this manuscript for SHILAP Revista de lepidopterología and hereby declare that we have no financial, intellectual, or personal interest in this manuscript and that I will not disseminate the information obtained through the review of the article prior to its publication.
