External morphology of the adult of Stalachtis phlegia susanna (Fabricius, 1787) (Lepidoptera: Riodinidae)

The complete external morphology of the adults of Stalachtis phlegia susanna (Fabricius, 1787) is here studied based on optical and scanning electron microscopy. This species shows great abundance in the Atlantic Forest region of the state of Sergipe, Brazil. This is the first study of this kind concerning to Riodinidae in the Neotropics.
