Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word, WordPerfect o RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
ISSUE
The scientific article is a written report that communicates, for the first time, the results of research.
This type of documentation will be reviewed by a pair of external reviewers and the dates of receipt, acceptance and publication, with abstract and keywords, will be published.

HOW TO BE MEMBERSHIP
How to be membership of the Sociedad Hispano-Luso-Americana de Lepidopterologia
This Society is open to all persons and Institutions interested in the study of world-wide Lepidoptera. The annual subscription is paid at the beginning of the year. It is 75 euros for members and 240 euros for Institutions. Payment can be made by Postal Money Order, by Bank Transfer free of charge to SHILAP, or by Credit Card. Bank transfer should be made to SHILAP account Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria [Madrid] (IBAN: ES06 0182 1216 2802 0151 5543). Members will receive quarterly a copy of
SHILAP Revista de lepidopterología and other Society’s publications as well as deductions on books and Entomological publications.

Governing Body of SHILAP
The Sociedad Hispano-Luso-Americana de Lepidopterología (SHILAP), is a scientific Society, founded in 1972 and formally registered in 1973, in accordance with the Legal Regime of the Law of Associations of 24 December 1964. The Sociedad Hispano-Luso-Americana de Lepidopterología (SHILAP) was created in Madrid with the aim of bringing together interested parties in a non-profit association for scientific purposes. Membership is open to all persons interested in the study of Lepidoptera. The Society is independent of other national or foreign Organisms, Associations, Institutions and Entities that may have similar objectives, with which it will maintain relations and collaborate effectively. The aims of the Society are to promote and improve the study of Lepidoptera in general and Iberian Lepidoptera in particular, their biological cycle and the conservation of their habitat, bringing together Spanish and foreign entomologists who wish to do so, and providing them and official bodies with the greatest amount of information available on the speciality, in order to achieve a greater exchange of scientific experiences of a biological nature.

BOOK REVIEWS
The guidelines for publication are the same as those for articles and will consist of:
1. Full reference of the book to be reviewed, including the ISBN.
2. Text of the review.
3. Place of publication of the book for possible purchase by interested parties, the price of the book, postal address and e-mail address.
4. Name of the reviewer with e-mail address and Orcid number.
Copyright Notice
The author retains his trademark and patent rights to any process or procedure within the article.
The author retains the right to share, distribute, perform and publicly communicate the article published in SHILAP Revista de lepidopterología, with initial acknowledgement of its publication in SHILAP Revista de lepidopterología.
The author retains the right to make a subsequent publication of his work, from using the article to publishing it in a book, provided that he indicates its initial publication in SHILAP Revista de lepidopterología.
Each submission to SHILAP Revista de lepidopterología must be accompanied by an acceptance of copyright and acknowledgement of authorship.
